RANDAM"

Peace, Love and Randomness - Random

Spencer Harrington, who paints under the alias 'RANDOM', is a young urban artist who has exhibited widely in the short time he has devoted himself to being a fulltime artist.

He uses an extensive range of usual and unusual materials in stunningly innovative ways.

These works have found their way into collections across New Zealand and now into Europe, America and Japan. He is currently exhibiting in New York. Random is now supplying the demands of several fringe and established galleries. Random pushes himself and the visual expectations of the viewer to the limit.

Current huge projects include completely covering the iconic 'Fish 'n Chip shop at Piha and has made a new dynamic impact by being given complete creative control of Auckland Universitiy's 'The Hanger' cafe, just opened for the 2009 University year.

Random now resides in Tokyo, Japan where he creates fulltime. Having already teamed up with local fashion labels and cap designers, invited to display his works in collaborative exhibitions across the country, and now reporting as the Japanese Correspondent for New Zealand Art and Culture Magazine MORPH, Random plans to make the most of his Artistic time in this continuingly inspiring Land of the Rising Sun.
